Excellent
The shipping was fast, no delays whatsoever. Jacket fits good, in 5'5 154 lbs for reference. Wish it was a bit more tapered going down the waist, other than that I have no complaints.

Very good looking, and no breaking in needed at all!
Rushing out of the house in the morning is a lot easier with a hood that means I do not need to find an umbrella. The black is deep and matte and the whole thing weighs next to nothing. I paid well under what the high street was asking for something far bulkier.
Trying to buy without animal materials usually means settling for something that looks obviously synthetic. This does not read that way at all. The nap is fine and matte and the whole thing drapes rather than standing away from the body. The hood is well shaped and sits neatly whether up or down. It has been warm without bulk through a cold month. I paid well under half of what I had expected.
Team drinks, the walk to the station, and a very damp weekend in the Lakes have all been covered by this since it arrived. It is warm without any bulk, which is the combination I could never find before. The black is deep and the surface soft with a fine nap. The hood is neatly made and does not collapse when it is up. The high street version I tried on was stiffer, heavier and nearly double.
Throwing this on has become automatic, which is the best thing I can say about any jacket. The hood means I stop checking the forecast and the black works with everything I wear. It is light enough for a warm office and warm enough for a cold platform. Nothing needed breaking in and nothing needs looking after. What I paid was a long way under the designer one I had been circling.
With a hood and so little to it on the shoulders it has become the jacket I take everywhere. The black is properly deep and the surface has a soft even nap. It has been warm on cold mornings and easy to carry when it warms up. There is nothing to condition or treat. I spent around half of what I had allowed and have not looked at another jacket since.
Straight up, I did not think I would find a hooded jacket in this style that avoided animal materials and still looked properly made. This one manages both. The nap is short and soft and the matte finish keeps it looking considered rather than plasticky. The hood is well shaped and sits where it should whether it is up or down. It is very light, which makes a difference on a long day out. There is no conditioning or special treatment to worry about, which matters to me. I have worn it to work, to the market and out in the evening and it has been right for all three. Two people have asked me about it, and both were surprised when I said what it cost. It has replaced a coat I never really liked. For a jacket that suits how I want to shop and still looks the part I could not ask for much more.
When my old hooded coat finally gave up I decided I was not going to spend a fortune replacing it, and this proved that was a reasonable plan. The black is deep and even with a fine soft nap and a matte surface that does not shine. It is a great deal lighter than the coat it replaced and yet just as warm on a cold morning. The hood is properly shaped and stays up in wind, which the old one never managed. There was no breaking-in period at all. It has needed nothing more than a brush across the shoulders once in a while. I have worn it on the school run every day for two months and it looks the same as when it arrived. My neighbour asked where it was from and was surprised at the price. It has already outlasted my expectations by a wide margin. I would order another without thinking twice.
Saved for months for a jacket and then found this for a fraction of what I had put by, which felt almost suspicious. It is not a compromise in any way I can see. The black is deep and even with a fine soft nap and a matte finish. The hood sits properly rather than flopping down the back like a badly made afterthought. It is light on the shoulders and still cuts the wind on a cold morning. There was no breaking-in period, it was comfortable from the first wear. Care has been nothing beyond a brush to lift the pile now and then. My brother thought it was the designer one he has been saving for, which is more than twice this. It has replaced a coat that was far too heavy for what I actually needed. I will be spending the money I saved on a holiday instead.
Though I bought this mainly for the hood, it is how light it is that keeps surprising me. It is far lighter than any hooded jacket I have owned and yet it still cuts a cold wind. The black is deep and even with a soft matte nap that has not gone shiny at the cuffs. The hood is properly shaped, so it stays up rather than blowing off at the first gust. There was no breaking-in period at all and there is nothing to condition. I have worn it every day for two months, on the school run, at the supermarket and to a couple of evenings out. It has been through drizzle several times and dried out flat each time with no marks. A friend guessed I had spent well over twice what I did. It has replaced two jackets and neither has been missed. I would order it again in a different colour if they made one.
Watching the price of everything go up made me hesitate on this for a while. It has turned out to be one of the few things I have bought this year that felt like good value. The black is deep and matte, the nap soft and even, and the hood is neatly finished. It is light enough that I keep it on indoors without noticing. It has been in daily use for six weeks and looks new.
There is nothing I would change about this. The hood is well made, the black is deep and matte and it weighs almost nothing on the shoulders. I paid roughly half of what I had budgeted for and it has been in daily use.
Waiting for a free weekend to go and buy a jacket properly is a game I have been losing for about four years. I gave up and ordered this at eleven at night and it was the right call. The black is deep and even and the surface has a soft short nap with a matte finish. The hood is well made, holds its shape and does not sit awkwardly under a bag strap. It is remarkably light for something that keeps this much cold out. There was no breaking-in period, I wore it the morning it arrived and forgot about it by lunchtime. Care has been nothing at all beyond an occasional brush. Someone at work asked whether it was the designer one they had been looking at, which is well over twice the money. It has replaced a heavy coat that I had been resenting for years. For the time it saved me and the money I did not spend, it has been a very good outcome all round.
