A jacket with character is easy to admire and hard to wear often. Lightweight faux suede makes this one the opposite — comfortable enough to become the default. Dark brown warms up denim, cream and black, so the retro shape ends up in everyday rotation.

Excellent
The shipping was fast, no delays whatsoever. Jacket fits good, in 5'5 154 lbs for reference. Wish it was a bit more tapered going down the waist, other than that I have no complaints.

Previously, my autumn layer was a baggy khaki parka with a sticky zip and far too many toggles. This is the opposite: tidy poppers, a neat striped collar, and a warm brown that actually flatters my complexion. It looks put together over office knitwear and doesn't swamp me on the bus. One off because the shade is a touch lighter than the product photos suggested.
Would a suede-look bomber read as costume-y on someone who mostly wears black basics? That worried me for ages. Turns out no. The brown is deep and muted, closer to bitter chocolate than anything orange, and the striped rib at the neck adds a quiet seventies nod rather than a full throwback. This is my first jacket like this and I expected a learning curve, but there was nothing to get used to: it felt wearable from the first afternoon. Snaps down the front close with a satisfying click. I've paired it with black jeans and a grey tee and felt completely myself.
Wore it to a pumpkin patch with my nieces last weekend. Muddy fields, a hayride, cider spills, the works. By evening I was sure it would be ruined, but a quick brush brought the nap right back and the sticky spot wiped off with a damp cloth. Kept me cozy in the breeze too. The brown even photographed beautifully against all that orange.
Brilliant everyday layer. It's light, the brown goes with everything I own, and the poppers are quicker than buttons when I'm rushing out. The striped collar adds a bit of fun without being loud. I've worn it to the shops, to a garden centre café with Mum and on dog walks around the park when it's too mild for a proper coat.
Seven weeks since my daughter unwrapped this for her twenty-first, so here's an honest update. She has worn it to lectures, a music festival weekend and a couple of nights out, and it still looks fresh. The nap hasn't flattened, the striped rib at the collar still lies flat, and every snap clicks firmly. The colour, a rich dark brown, hasn't faded despite plenty of sunny afternoons on campus. If I'd change one thing, it'd be an inside pocket for her phone, since she's always slipping it into the front ones. Small thing. She calls it her favourite piece.
Arrived Tuesday. On by Wednesday. Deep brown. Soft hand. Retro without trying. Striped knit collar, very nice. Snaps close fast. Ribbed wrists keep sleeves in place while I type. Three pockets: phone, keys, badge. Done. Weightless on the train. Good with black trousers, better with jeans. One note: the new-fabric smell lingered about four days. Aired it on the balcony. Gone now. Lost a point for that. Otherwise excellent value for daily use.
opened the mailer at my desk on lunch break n immediatly had to try it on. colour is a deep brown, almost like dark chocolate, and the nap shifts shade when you brush your hand across it which is kinda mesmerizing. wore it out that evening to trivia night with jeans n a striped tee, matched the collar lol. warm enough without being bulky
ok so feature by feature. collar = knit with stripes, super cute and not itchy at all. front = snaps, which i actually prefer, no zipper catching my hair. cuffs = stretchy ribbing so the sleeves dont slide down over my hands. pockets = 3, all useable. first jacket like this ive ever had and the suedey texture feels SO nice. brown is dark and rich
Packaging arrived a bit squashed, and the box corner had clearly taken a knock somewhere along the way. Inside, thankfully, all was fine. This is my first jacket of this sort, and I wasn't sure a bomber would suit me, but the striped knit collar frames the face nicely and the colour, a deep cocoa, works with my navy and burgundy wardrobe. Press studs make a neat line down the front. The wrists are snug ribbing that keeps the wind out when I cycle to work. Easy, light, nothing to break in. Full marks regardless, a dented box hardly matters.
Did you actually pick this yourself?' was my sister's reaction, which I'm choosing to take as a compliment. I'd bought it for her thirtieth after weeks of hints about wanting something seventies-inspired. The courier, for the record, left it with the neighbour who then went away for two days, so that was a nervy wait. Fine in the end: the brown is lovely and deep, the striped rib around the neck looks properly vintage, and she says the poppers feel solid. She wore it to our parents' anniversary meal and Mum wanted to borrow it. Think I've finally won at presents.
never owned a jacket like this. always puffers. always black. then this. dark brown, kinda retro, kinda cool. the collar has stripes. little ones, cream and brown. love that. snaps up the front, no fiddly zipper. three pockets. ribbed cuffs that actually stay put. its soft. like, REALLY soft. i keep petting my own arm on the bus lol. wore it to a thrift crawl saturday. two strangers asked about it. one thought it was from the 70s. nope. brand new. goes with my mom jeans. goes with my black dress. goes with sneakers and loafers. weighs basically nothing. no breaking in needed. first day felt like day fifty. only thing, cat hair sticks. lint roller sorts it. still five out of five. my sister wants one now. not lending mine.
honestly my girlfriend has been wearing the same grey hoodie as a jacket since college so i figured she was due an upgrade, her first proper jacket of this kind. ordering was simple, took about 9 days to show up which was a bit longer than i wanted. once she opened it tho, the brown looked rich and the striped collar gave it this retro thing she loved. snaps are sturdy. she wears it all the time now
Five weeks in, and my verdict holds. Rainy commutes, crammed Northern line carriages, a dripping umbrella pressed against my arm: through all that, the texture looks as plush as on day one. Ribbing at the throat and wrists keeps its spring, and the poppers grip tight. Only tweak I'd make is a zipped inner compartment for my Oyster card. Colour remains lovely, a proper chocolate tone.
So this popped up on my Facebook feed about six times before I gave in, mostly because I assumed the brushed texture in the video was some kind of lighting trick, but when it showed up it actually looked better, softer and darker, with this lovely retro vibe from the striped knit trim, and I've basically lived in it since, over a hoodie for dog walks, with a mini skirt and tights for a gig downtown, even over a sweater dress to a baby shower where two different aunts asked where it came from, and it's so lightweight I forget I've got it on until someone says something nice, which keeps happening, so yes, the ad won this time.
Quick tour. Neckline: knit rib with thin stripes, sits flat and doesn't scratch. Front: a row of press studs, easy to open on the go. Wrists: matching ribbed bands that hug without pinching. Pockets: three of them, enough for earbuds, cards and a hair tie. The microsuede finish looks rich and wipes clean easily. Does the job beautifully between meetings.
I've been after a brown bomber that wasn't shiny for months and this is it. The finish is properly matte with a soft feel to it. The fit is relaxed without swamping me. Everything about the make looks neat, even stitching and no loose threads anywhere.
If you've been circling this after spotting it in an Instagram ad, here's my advice after a few weeks of wearing it: don't overthink the colour. I almost picked something lighter because the photo looked dark on my phone, but in daylight this brown has warmth, a hint of red when the sun hits, and it plays well with denim, olive, cream and even a black slip dress. Second tip: treat it as a casual layer rather than a dressy piece. It shines with sneakers and a tee or a chunky knit. Care-wise, keep a soft brush nearby; a couple of strokes along the nap freshens it in seconds. The striped ribbing gives it a retro varsity feel without tipping into costume. Final thought: snaps beat a zipper when you're juggling coffee and a tote.
Dark brown was the right choice, it warms up denim and cream in a way black never does for me. Snap fastening is quick and secure, and the striped collar is a nice retro touch. It's light on the shoulders and hasn't creased badly at all. I wear it several times a week.
Present for my sister and she's very happy with it. Four stars from my side only because the delivery estimate slipped by a day. The jacket itself she says is light, soft and exactly the shade she wanted. She's already asked if it comes in another colour.
Solid buy, despite my doubts after seeing it in a TikTok haul. Why it works: the colour is a rich cocoa in person, not the muddy tone I feared; the stripes around the neckline and wrists give it vintage charm; three pockets mean my phone, lip balm and keys all have a home. My one hesitation is the snaps, which need a firm press to catch at first. I wear it to Sunday markets, over sundresses on cooler evenings, and to my kid's soccer practice where the bleachers get windy.
package was on the step when i got back from a long shift, almost walked past it. ripped it open in the kitchen still in my scrubs lol. first impression, the brown is GORGEOUS, deep and warm like a mocha with no sugar. the fabric has that peachy brushed feel and it goes a little lighter or darker depending which way i run my fingers. the striped ribbing on the collar is so cute, very 70s record shop. didnt have time to admire it long tho, had to sleep. next morning i threw it on over a white tee and wide leg jeans for coffee with my sister and she clocked it immediatly, asked if it was vintage. snapped it shut walking back since the wind picked up and the ribbed cuffs kept it from blowing up my sleeves. its been on my hook by the door ever since, easiest grab and go thing i own
Wore it straight out of the packaging and it needed no wearing in at all. Soft from the first day, which I wasn't expecting. The colour looks slightly richer in daylight than on screen, in a good way. It has become my go to for anything casual.
Character jackets usually sit unworn in my wardrobe but this one is comfortable enough to be the default. Snap buttons are satisfying to do up and feel solid. The ribbed cuffs stay put when I push the sleeves back. Good quality for what I paid.
