The Rub-Off Brown Leather Jacket
A finish that improves with handling: rub-off leather is dyed so the high points wear lighter over time, giving a depth no flat colour can match. This men’s rub-off brown leather jacket pairs that two-tone character with real lambskin and clean, classic jacket lines. It looks better in year three than the day it arrives — the wear is the point, not a flaw. Work, weekend, and everything between, with no stiff break-in to fight. Provenance
Handcrafted in Decrum’s own workshop and sold direct — maker-to-wardrobe, without the retail markup a leather jacket like this usually carries. We’ve built leather this way since 2015: real hide, honest construction, no faux and no shortcuts. You pay for the lambskin and the hands that shaped it, not the names in between.
The Material
Real lambskin under a rub-off finish — the leather is genuine, and the two-tone effect is dyed in so raised edges and seams lighten as you wear it. Lambskin keeps it supple and comfortable from the first day, with no rigid break-in period. Every crease and rub adds to the story rather than wearing it out — the finish only grows more characterful with age.
The Cut
A regular-fit jacket with a stand collar and a full zip closure — sharp at the neck, easy through the body. Four pockets in all, two outside and two inside, so it carries a day without a bag. True-to-form lines mean it layers over a tee or a shirt without bulk.
How It’s Worn
Over a white tee and dark denim for the everyday, or a fine knit when you want it sharper. The rub-off brown carries its own highlights, so it never reads flat — it does the work a plain finish can’t.
