Is Decrum Legit? An Honest Review of Decrum Leather Jackets

You found a real leather jacket at a price that seemed low, and the obvious question followed. It is a fair one to ask, and we would rather answer it with evidence you can check yourself than with a paragraph asking you to trust us.

So: yes, Decrum is a real, registered company that has been selling leather jackets since 2015. Below is the proof — third-party review scores, published magazine reviews, independent video reviews, and what customers post publicly on social. Every link goes somewhere we do not control.

1. What Independent Review Sites Say

The simplest test of a store is where people leave feedback the store cannot edit. Two platforms carry the bulk of ours.

Trustpilot

We hold an Excellent rating on Trustpilot. We reply to negative reviews as well as positive ones, usually within a day — you can scroll the whole feed, unfiltered, and see how we handle problems. A few of them, unedited:

Thingtesting

On the independent brand-review site Thingtesting we hold a perfect 5.0. One reviewer put the value gap plainly: despite being an affordable jacket, it "looked and felt like a premium piece that could easily cost between $700 and $1000."

Why this matters more than on-site reviews. We cannot delete, reorder or filter anything on Trustpilot or Thingtesting. If you only read one source before ordering, read those — not this page.

2. Magazines and Bloggers Who Bought and Tested

Editors and independent bloggers have bought our jackets, worn them, photographed them and published what they found.

1883 Magazine

A reviewer who owns over 30 leather jackets rated ours 4.4 out of 5, noting the leather "felt heavy but soft" and that the jacket "did mold to the shape of my body after a few wears."

The Good Men Project

Reviewed our men's range across quality, style and comfort, and highlighted the genuine lambskin construction as the reason the jackets feel the way they do.

3. Independent Video Reviews

Photographs can be retouched. Video is harder to fake. These are unboxings and wear tests filmed by people who are not us — you can see the zip pulls, the lining, the grain of the leather and how the jacket moves.

4. What Decrum Looks Like on TikTok

Short-form video is the least forgiving format for a leather jacket. There is no styling team and no retouching — the jacket either looks like real leather in motion or it does not. Everything below is from our own @decrumofficial account, and the comments are open.

More of it, including the fit and care clips, sits on our TikTok profile.

5. Creators and Customers on Instagram

The most useful proof is not a model in a studio — it is the same jacket on someone your build, in daylight, on an ordinary street. Creators tag us, customers tag us, and we repost it on @decrum_shop rather than hiding it behind a curated grid.

Hundreds more sit in our customer gallery and on our reviews page — mirror selfies, bad lighting and all. If you want to see how a cut sits on a body rather than a mannequin, start there.

6. Is the Leather Actually Real?

Yes. Every jacket is 100% real lambskin, cut and stitched by hand. No faux. No PU. No blends dressed up as leather.

The reason the price does not match the material is that there is very little between the workshop and you. We do not carry mall rent, we do not run a wholesale tier taking its own margin, and we do not pay for celebrity endorsement. What you are paying for is the hide, the construction and the shipping — not the markup that usually sits on top of all three.

If you want to check for yourself rather than take our word for it, our guide on how to tell if leather is real walks through the grain, edge, smell and burn tests. They work on any jacket, including ours.

7. Ordering Safely

The real fear is not that the company is fake. It is that the jacket arrives, does not fit, and your money is gone.

30-day returns and exchanges. If it arrives too big, too small, or simply not right, you have 30 days from delivery to return or exchange it. The full policy is written out, not buried.

Sizing checked before we ship. On a lot of orders we email first and ask for your measurements to confirm the size before the jacket leaves — several of the reviews above mention exactly this. It is faster than an exchange for both of us.

Tracked delivery. Every order ships with tracking, and shipping is free. You can follow it the whole way.

Real people on support. Email support@decrum.com before you order with your chest measurement and the jacket you are looking at, and we will confirm the size for that specific piece.

Questions

Is Decrum a legitimate company?

Yes. Decrum is a registered US business, trading since 2015, with a public Trustpilot profile carrying hundreds of reviews and an Excellent rating. Our jackets have been independently reviewed by 1883 Magazine, The Good Men Project and several fashion bloggers, and there are unboxing videos on YouTube filmed by people unconnected to us.

Is Decrum leather real?

Yes. Every Decrum jacket is made from 100% real lambskin. We do not use faux leather, PU or blended materials, and we state the material on every product page. If you want to verify it yourself, our guide on how to tell if leather is real covers the tests that work on any jacket.

Are the reviews on Decrum real?

The reviews that matter most are the ones we cannot touch. Trustpilot and Thingtesting are independent platforms where we cannot delete, filter or reorder anything, and both feeds are public and unfiltered. You can also see customer photographs in our customer gallery and independent video reviews on YouTube.

What is the return and exchange policy?

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return or exchange a jacket. If the fit is wrong or you change your mind, email support@decrum.com and we will arrange it. Sending us your chest measurement before you order is quicker still, because we can confirm the size for that specific jacket first.

How do I know what size to order?

Measure your chest with a soft tape and match it to our size chart, which lists body measurements rather than garment measurements. Our jackets run true to those charts. On many orders we email to confirm your measurements before shipping, and you can always send them to support@decrum.com in advance.

How long does delivery take?

Shipping is free on all orders and every parcel is tracked, so you can follow it from dispatch to your door. Delivery times vary by destination; you will receive a tracking number once your order is dispatched, and our support team can give you a current estimate for your country before you order.

The Verdict

Set aside what we say about ourselves and look at what is left: an Excellent Trustpilot rating across hundreds of public reviews, a 5.0 on Thingtesting, published reviews in 1883 Magazine and The Good Men Project, independent YouTube unboxings, a decade of trading, 100% real lambskin, and 30 days to change your mind.

That is a real company selling real leather at a price that skips the markup, not a store hoping you will not check. Check anyway — every link on this page goes somewhere we do not control.
